NICK MORRISON ϟ 32 ϟ PRECISION DRIVER ϟ FC: STEPHEN AMELL
"Quote will be inserted upon acceptance”
Nick Morrison has always been a simple man; even if his life has never sang the same tune. At a young age, his father took him aside and told him it was time he stepped up and became the man of the family. This was the last time he saw his dad- the man taking off to God knows where. From that day on Nick did whatever it took to take care of his mother; one of the only women he cared about. With her working full time waitressing at a rundown diner and him doing as many odd jobs as he could, they continued to barely scrape by. As each bill came, they became farther behind- threatening to go bankrupt at times, yet they always found their way out. With both working full time jobs, they had finally run out of options; and were preparing for the impending horror of bankruptcy. To add to problems, Nick’s mother slipped into a severe depression- cured only by a needle in her arm. Her addiction continued to eat what little money did come in, and led to an overdose. Miraculously she survived, but gone was the woman Nick had loved since the day he was born. It was at that moment of desperation that Nick made the decision to finally stop earning money the honest way. That was the night the Morrison boy raced for his first pink slip. He had a simple routine- go down to the tracks, and leave skid marks on the face of every opponent.
By day he worked at the local mechanic shop- by night, he brought in the big bucks. He kept enough money for himself to live, and put the rest into his mother- attempting to get her whatever rehabilitation he could. After two years of working at the shop, he went home with a coworker who he’d become quite close with- and that’s the day he met Lola Hawthorne. The coworker who brought him home for Sunday barbeque happened to be the father of the girl who would change his life; he just didn’t know it yet. Nick quickly became part of the family, having a makeshift father who actually gave a damn about him, a little sister, and a best friend. He had Lola’s attention from the moment he walked in through the door; she had his the moment she got behind the wheel. Having two thieves with a love for cars in the same vicinity, it almost seems like it was a match made in heaven- and it was. After forming a tight bond, and throwing themselves to the wind of passion, the pair combined their skills- Lola stealing the cars, and him racing or selling them off. The two were unstoppable; the Bonnie and Clyde of the racing world. Like most young loves, their adoration for freedom broke their romance apart- although their friendship never faltered. After a number of years working together in the same dead end town, Nick and Lola decided they wanted more; bigger and better careers had their names on it. That’s when they decided they needed a team.
It was shortly after the pair made this decision however, that Nick was thrown in jail for grand theft auto. While doing time, he met Elvis Daniels- their first official team member. After the two were out, they met back up with Lola and the real fun began. Money, cars, and friends filled his life- and it couldn’t have been better; from afar at least. While his life appeared to be dreamlike, Nick had begun to break apart at the seams; his mother only getting significantly worse. When Nick was locked up, Lola did what she could to watch after his mother- but there was no success. With two suicide attempts in her belt and numerous amounts of rehab trips, he resorted to his final option- getting her institutionalized. Maureen could not have been less pleased with her son’s decision to lock her up, but with her spiraling further each day he saw no other choice. Her distaste for his decision was apparent; refusing to see him and attacking him or screaming how much she hated him any chance she got. He finally gave up- realizing that she didn’t what was best for her. So instead of visiting weekly, he continues to pay for her living facility and leaves her alone as she wishes. When he’s in need of an update on her he sends Lola to visit her- since she’s the only one Maureen will let in the visitors room.
After the team of three was formed, they took the little town of Corona by storm; stealing what they could get their hands on from all of the wrong people. Their pockets were full and their consciences were clear- a rare commodity in any person’s life. They spent their days working on cars, and their nights running and stealing them. When the opposing team swept in and began stealing prime business of his own team, Nick was livid to say the least. These bastards were stealing money out of his pocket and he wasn’t about to let them get away with it. The worse thing a person can do is threaten a man’s family, and this opposing team of four had done just that. If the Latin Kings never presented themselves, the two teams may have never considered working together- not on Nick’s end at least. If him and Lola hadn’t come up with the idea to join with Ash’s team to destroy a common enemy, who knows where they would be now? When the team was in between jobs, Nick reverted back to his simplistic ways. Sunday barbeque, working on cars, and kicking back with a few beers were among the list of his favorite things. In his down time however, one would tend to forget exactly what he was capable of. He was humorous, wise; a person people generally liked being around… Until anger arose in him. Only when the family was in danger did one see the darker side of Nick- the side that would kill anyone who harmed a hair on their heads.
Even though they agreed to team up, the two heads of the crews couldn’t get along to save their lives- no matter how hard they tried. Fortunately though, one good thing did come from these eight people joining- they were unstoppable. Ever since that day, the bandits have been moving farther up in the criminal life- never being detected. They struck hard- hitting the corrupt criminals they targeted right where it hurt. Nicks world revolved around money, fast cars, and the people he’d come to view as family- the latter always coming first. Although the alpha’s still squared up frequently, he’d learned to erase the divide that once stood between them. Nick would give his life for a number of the team members; his original family being of the top contenders. This lifestyle he’s been a part of has completely turned his life around- coming from the poverty level neighborhood to robbing some of the richest men in the world has been exhilarating; yet lately, it seems he’s wanted something more. He has money, and family- what more could he want? Simplicity- the one thing his life lacks. Whether he’s planning the next heist, or speeding off from the police- it seems he’s always in high gear. All the Morrison boy desires is to stop running- will he step into early retirement, or stick by his family?
+ Resilient, Determined, Protective.
- Audacious, Quick-tempered, Ornery
Lola Hawthorne: Lola is the woman that makes Nick’s world spin- at least she became that after they met when he was nineteen. Nick never thought he’d meet a girl who understood him better than he did himself, and once he found her he never let her go. She’s his best friend, his family, and the only girl who’s ever come close to outracing him. The two held a romance in the beginning, but with spirits as free as theirs, friendship suited them better. The beer drinking, gas guzzling duo can usually be found together- whether it be working on their cars, cracking open beers, or hashing out the details of their next heist. Nick informed his partner after their last job in Florida that he was having reservations about sticking with this lifestyle; and to this day she’s the only one who knows of his wanted retirement. Knowing that he’d rather pass the torch to her over Ash, he’s taken the time to step back- letting her become the unofficial leader as a sort of trial run. If Lola were ever in trouble though, Nick would drop everything and potentially give his life to save her. If there was ever a perfect dynamic duo, it is these two.
Elvis Daniels: These two have been the best of buds since back in their early jail bird days. After Nick was locked up for G.T.A, he was cell mates with Elvis, who was in for armed robbery and resisting arrest. After both were out, they met up again- where Nick and Lola invited him to be a part of the team they were building. Elvis holds a higher respect for Nick than any other person on the team; and Nick usually consults Elvis on any major decision he makes involving the group. Like any dynamic duo, they’ve have their ups and downs- but never anything more that couldn’t be settled with a good street race or a few fists thrown.
Dahlia Hawthorne: Nick met Dahlia when she was eleven, and has been a constant in her life ever since. He’s the older brother she never had, and he protects her as such. Growing up they picked on each other like any pair of siblings would, and like any stereotypical older brother, he threatened to break necks of any boyfriend she had. While it was common knowledge Dahlia didn’t approve of her sister’s shenanigans growing up, she made it known to Nick on numerous occasions that she trusted him to keep Lola alive. It’s still a peculiar sight for Nick to see the girl on the team, but when Lola approached him with the idea, he couldn’t turn the girl down- as much as they both wished Dahlia would go back to college.
Wyatt Morrison: The day Wyatt came to the team professing he was the offspring of Nick’s long gone father, it didn’t take more than a few seconds before Nick had pounced- beating the shit out of the kid who claimed to be his half-brother. Fortunately for the younger Morrison though, Nick was convinced to let the boy in with the team- if he earned his weight. Ordering him to do the residents bitch work, Wyatt gladly accepts Nick’s demands- ready to gain his brothers approval and respect at whatever’s necessary. While Nick has had no problem accepting every other non-blood person into this impromptu family, he’s had quite a bit of difficulty showing any affection towards his long lost sibling.
Ash Thrasher:Sticking two male lions in a cage can either be the best idea, or one of the most problematic- this situation is somehow both. It took these two alpha males quite the length of time to finally get along, yet even after all of this time on the same team, they still have problems. While the two can be quite friendly with each other, there’s always been a bit of underlying power struggle between them. With Ash being his own teams leader before they combined, it’s proven more difficult than he would have predicted for him to comfortably live under Nick’s law.
